Mad as a hatter...?!

Mr and Mrs Bear in the garden 2007

Dear APs - just some snaps - not wonderful pictures or anything but hopefully gives you an idea of what we’ve been up to and it has to be said we are feeling VERY smug and proud of ourselves and will be even smugger when we get a rose garden so watch out!!

(Professor Darwin is still thinking but at such time as he puts paw to keyboard it will be posted here!)

Trier - bought for us by Marianne - and due to go in the garden and probably climb up the pergola!

not a brilliant picture but ‘Climbing Cecille Brunner’ looking very health and ready to climb!

Scrumptious - (left) planted last year and harvest of one enormous apple- now growing lots! and on the right our Quince tree looking healthy.

Bigger and better picture of our fruit trees - cherry and damson in the front..

The vegetable beds- early potatoes doing well and other beds now planted completely with (boast) mange tout, french beans, radish, spring onion, spinach corgette and marrow - all growing well!

Early and Late ‘Tatos - lates in front, early behind although you almost can’t tell the difference! (that’s the bed with the hayturner in it - must be good for the soil!)

Now - that stuff that looks like grass at the front... Spring onions no less! - and the baby spinach behind mostly been eaten by something so far - Grrr!

have to show off our Mulberry tree - isn’t it growing well?!

The Rhubarb!! gone in and growing well already!

and we managed sweet peas at last!

Our new Aster and Bottlebrush plants!!

a new place to grow poppies...!

Hostas and poppies in our courtyard

Our Conference pear - planted last year - hasn’t blossomed yet as far as I can see and no sign of fruit -all the leaves are curly too - is that right???
